Users roles
The permissions are defined by roles, each role has permission and restriction that you can define and once done each user is assigned a particular role.
For each role, you select the permissions for each setting, dashboard, and report :
- No access = Document won't appear
- Read-only = The Edit button won't appear
- Read & write = Full access
Here is how you can create roles:
Assign user roles
Once your user account is created and your role is set-up, you can assign a role to your user :
Important : The folder authorization is stronger than the document. That means if you have acces to a report but not in the folder containing it, you won't see the report in your account. However, if you have the URL link of the report you will be able to see it.
Here are a couple of ideas on how to structure roles in your account.
When creating roles, you can choose to create them by
- The access level (e.g. "Full access", "Read only", etc.)
- Department (Sales - with access only to sales reports, Operations - with access only to operational reports, etc.)
- The combination on the two (e.g. "F&B - Full access", "F&B - Read-only")
- Individual roles - for some or all users you can create unique roles with user-specific permissions
