Summary
Data may be retrieved regularly (from every 10 minutes to every day, depending on the integration). However, the data in the reports is not refreshed all the time, nor when you open a report. To get refreshed data when working on the platform, it can be useful to set refreshers in the morning.
This article explains how to configure automatic refresh.
When is the automatic refresh needed
An automatic data refresh is triggered by default and runs at least once per day. For API integrations, the refresh frequency is higher.
However, reports display are not refreshed every day. On top, if a dashboard or report requires real-time (or near real-time) data, you mayset up an automatic refresh. You can also delete and automatically refresh or pause it if needed.
Be careful, there are some exceptions where the automatic refresh rules do not apply:
If automatic refreshes are scheduled less than 3 hours apart for the same report, the second refresh is ignored. This prevents platform overload.
If you create an automatic sending, the report is recalculated automatically. If a refresher is set less than 3 hours before the automatic sending, then it will not be recalculated again (as per the previous rule).
If you create an alert, the report is recalculated automatically.
Live dashboards do not require automatic refresh.
Cloned reports are automatically recalculated each time the parent report is recalculated.
Pickup Daily reports: Data is refreshed automatically every time you open the report.
-
Pickup Monthly reports:
If the account contains only one property and the report has no foldable sections (i.e., only one “Total” line), the data is refreshed each time you open it.
Otherwise, the report is too resource-intensive to refresh automatically and must be scheduled for refresh.
How to create an automatic refresh
IMPORTANT: Please note that if the data has been refreshed, after this point there is a 3-hour cool-down period, during which if an automatic refresh is launched for this report/dashboard, it will not be executed.
