What is a logbook, and when to use it
A logbook is a form created directly from the Blent platform that allows you to collect qualitative and/or quantitative data. It enables you to input data into Blent that is not available from the various integrated systems.
When a logbook is created, a QR code is generated, allowing your teams and your clients to easily access the questionnaire.
Examples of logbook usage:
Maintenance Department: to track completed interventions, identify frequently malfunctioning equipment, plan replacements, and keep a record of safety checks.
Housekeeping: to count the number of machines operated.
Marketing / Customer Service: to measure customer satisfaction
Other: Supplier satisfaction
How to create and modify a logbook
You can choose the format of the answer you want to receive for each question. Your options are the following:
- Text
- Text Block (bigger answer expected)
- Date
- Rating (on 5)
- Numbers
- Select (You can then add multiple options)
How to display your logbook answers
Logbook results will be displayed through specific widgets. How they appear will depend on whether you are viewing a dashboard or a report.
For Dashboard
In KPI, Line and Column style
- Logbook: count the number of submissions - to get the number of answers you get to your form
- Logbook: get the average from a specific field - to get the average only applicable for the rate question
- Logbook: get the sum from a specific field- to get the sum of your answers, only applicable for number questions
In Table Style
- Logbook: list of submissions: to display all the answers (it is the only widget that will display a text answer)
For Report
Careful, on a report, you can only display numeric answers. Text answers must be used in a dashboard.

- Logbook: get the sum from a specific field - to get the sum of your answers, for the daily report only
- Logbook: get the average from a specific field - to get the average
