To increase visibility into revenue sources, the PMS Revenue reports are a valuable tool. They provide an overview of revenue by department, as well as the main KPIs for each component of the revenue, including market codes, sources of business, rate plans, countries, or a combination of these entities.
How to create a PMS Revenue report
Do not forget the Blent Collection, using it instead of starting from scratch will save you time.
PMS Revenue report is a type of report; therefore, creating a PMS Revenue report is the same process as creating a report. You need to select the PMS Revenue report when selecting the type of report you want to create.
Note that in the following examples, we are using the PMS Revenue report - monthly & yearly combined. You can also choose the report to be either monthly or yearly.
How to adjust the content of your PMS Revenue reports
Filters (whether set to include or exclude) give you full control over which data is displayed. Feel free to play with them. To learn more, refer to the dedicated article on filters.
For each report, remember that you can break your revenue down not only by country, but also by rate plan, room type, market code, source of business, or any combination of these categories. To do this, select “Automatically add lines for specific items” as shown in the demo.
Troubleshooting
Exclude room types
For this particular type of report, to ensure the correct functioning of the system, it is highly suggested to use the exclude filter to remove: ?
- Pseudo-rooms
- Posting Master
- House Use, etc.
